I am proud to say that I have been at Star International School Mirdif for seven years, joining in 2016. I have seen the school grow from a Primary school into a full-through school now opening up a sixth form in 2023. 

I graduated from the University of the West of England with a BSc Hons in Forensic Computing before completing my PGCE. I have recently successfully completed my NPQML (National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership) with my research focussing on how marking and feedback can be used effectively to support and move all students forward with their learning. In my personal time, I have achieved the status of Google Certified Educator completing both Level 1 and Level 2 courses. 

I have been teaching for 12 years - five of those in England and seven here in Dubai. Within Star, I have had plenty of opportunity to grow and develop as a teacher and leader, now being one of the Assistant Heads of Primary. I have supported our Deputy Head of Primary, Ms Mariam, with many wider aspects across Primary including preparing children across KS1 and KS2 for their end-of-year assessments. As a tech-enthusiast, I have enjoyed supporting teachers with using online tools for supporting children’s learning - including developing proficiency in how Google Classrooms and CenturyTech can enhance children’s learning opportunities. 

I enjoy keeping fit by going to the gym. I am a keen reader, with my favourite genre to pick up being science-fiction or comics!
