Vice Principal, Head of Primary and Designated Safeguarding Lead

In 2020, I  was successfully appointed as the Head of Primary and Designated Safeguarding Lead at this truly spectacular school, Star International school, Mirdif. I was delighted to be appointed as Vice Principal in January 2021, working closely with leaders across all phases of the school. 

I have always wanted to make a difference to the lives of children and to harness the transformative power of education.  I believe children have an infinite number of possibilities and through developing a culture of the highest expectations, they can achieve their full potential. 

My educational philosophy revolves around the profound impact that education can have on young lives. I view it as a vehicle for not only academic achievement but also for personal growth and development . This philosophy drives my deep  commitment to ensure that we offer our students the best possible educational experiences, which acknowledges their uniqueness, hones their talent and molds their character. 

I am a qualified education professional with a BSC in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education with Honours (PGCE) from University College of London. Throughout my 11-year tenure in various schools across London, I carved out a path of excellence, serving as a teacher and progressively stepping into senior leadership roles.

In 2017, I continued on a journey of professional growth, obtaining a National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) which honed my leadership acumen and instilled in me the significance of creating nurturing educational environments that empower both educators and students where learning and teaching flourish.

At Star, I have  championed the implementation of  our intelligently planned awe and wonder curriculum, which has been meticulously designed to inspire curiosity, stimulate holistic growth, and facilitate  progress, resulting in outstanding outcomes . 

My outstanding subject and pedagogical knowledge has enabled me to  continuously demonstrate my strategic ability to improve the quality of teaching and learning, as well as securing commitment to a shared vision. 

As I have moved into senior leadership, I have developed special interest in broader learning and growth practices, in particular coaching and mentoring. I am hoping to embark on a coaching program with the Educational Coach so I can play an instrumental role in nurturing the future  generations of leaders, thinkers, and change-makers.

As I continue to lead, inspire, and learn, my goal remains unchanged: to continuously ignite a love for learning, empower young minds, and make a lasting mark on the world through education.
