Year 4

In Year 4, following British Curriculum objectives, your child will carry out themes underpinned by a concept. Examples of some of the themes covered are: Lights, Camera and Action͛ and the concept of Communication, analysing and evaluating how the media communicates messages effectively. As well as this, children investigate the Tudors, focusing specifically on the Tudor Monarchy and what makes a good leader. All themes progress towards application of 21st Century skills, with projects at the end of each theme that make a valuable contribution to the local and wider community. Year 4 are consistently challenged to solve problems, design enquiries and explain their thinking both collaboratively and independently. These opportunities create very resilient and adaptable children ready for life within the 21st Century.
