A journey of learning from Early Years to Sixth Form


Early Years Foundation Stage (ages 3-5)

Our youngest learners explore and learn in a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and creativity. Through play, storytelling and sensory exploration, they develop early communication, motor skills and emotional awareness, creating strong foundations for lifelong learning. 

Primary school (ages 5-11)

Primary students are encouraged to discover new ideas, solve problems and express their creativity. Our curriculum, based on the National Curriculum for England, builds confidence and resilience. With English, Arabic and French, plus hands-on STEAM+ projects, students develop academic skills alongside a love for learning. 

Secondary school (ages 11-16)

Secondary students prepare for IGCSE and BTEC qualifications with a curriculum that sharpens critical thinking and problem-solving. They explore a wide range of subjects and take part in projects that develop independence, leadership and teamwork, preparing them for future study and life beyond school. 

Sixth Form (ages 16-18)

Our Sixth Form offers A Level, BTEC and hybrid pathways, with expert guidance on university and career preparation. Students develop independence, resilience and collaboration skills while receiving tailored support to achieve their personal and academic goals. Multilingual learning and cultural diversity


Our students thrive in a community of over 80 nationalities, preparing them for success in Dubai and across the world.
 


English

Students gain fluency in English from Early Years to Sixth Form through immersive lessons, storytelling, phonics and real-world application. By Secondary school, they are confident communicators ready for IGCSE and A Level study. 

Arabic
Arabic
is taught to both native and non-native speakers, starting in Early Years. Students develop speaking, reading and writing skills while deepening their understanding of local culture and heritage.
 

French
From Key Stage 2, students have the option to learn French, giving them an early start in multilingualism and an advantage in international opportunities. 

English as an Additional Language (EAL) support
Our tailored EAL programme includes individualised learning plans, Flash Academy support and one-to-one or small group sessions. Students are guided to achieve at least B2 proficiency, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and thrive academically. 

 

Wellbeing and inclusive support


At Star Mirdif, wellbeing is embedded in everything we do. Students are encouraged to develop self-belief, 
resilience and emotional awareness, supported by a community that values kindness and inclusion.
 


Pastoral care and emotional growth

From Primary school, students use Pulse to check in weekly, giving our pastoral team insight into their emotional wellbeing. Our school counsellor offers one-to-one sessions, group workshops and parent support to build resilience and life skills. 

Zones of regulation and sensory support
Through the Zones of Regulation programme, students learn to identify emotions, manage triggers and practise self-regulation strategies. Our sensory room and inclusion spaces allow for small-group and one-to-one interventions that strengthen confidence and engagement. 

Inclusive learning support
Gifted students, learners of determination and EAL students receive personalised support from our experienced Learning Support Assistants. Collaboration between teachers, parents and specialists ensures every student can reach their potential in a safe and supportive environment.
