They have extensive support and resources that fast-track language learning in interactive, immersive classes - opening doors to international university and work opportunities.
Students from over 80 nationalities make up our community and bring their cultures and languages with them.
Students gain fluency in English through immersive programmes and interactive learning support for English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Learners get an early start to multilingual support in English and Arabic in Early Years and progress to gain proficiency throughout their school life.
Star students go beyond English and Arabic to also gain fluency in French starting in Primary school, bringing them a step closer to global opportunities.
Explore our language programmes from Early Years to Sixth Form, supporting students from the foundations to their greatest achievements.
English
Students at our Multilingual School in Mirdif gain fluency in English, with immersive classes from Early Years to Sixth Form. In Early Years, our young learners are introduced to English through storytelling, phonics, songs and interactive play, helping them develop strong communication skills. As they progress through Primary and Secondary School, students continue to develop fluency in reading, writing and spoken English across all subjects, preparing them for success in IGCSE and A Level qualifications.
Arabic
Students are introduced to Arabic in Early Years and it remains a core part of their curriculum throughout their education, following the requirements of the UAE Ministry of Education. Lessons are adapted for both native and non-native Arabic speakers and focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. From playful exposure in the EYFS to more structured academic learning in later years, students develop a deep understanding of the Arabic language and its cultural significance.
French
Students begin learning French as a modern foreign language from Key Stage 2, allowing them to explore new linguistic and cultural perspectives. Through engaging and interactive lessons, they build a foundation of basic vocabulary and conversational skills. From Key Stages 3 to 5, students can continue to study French, with the option to take it as an IGCSE and A Level subject, further developing their global competence and communication skills.
Students develop the English skills they need to succeed academically and socially through engaging, inclusive and well-structured language experiences.
Students receive tailored support to meet their individual needs. Every EAL learner benefits from:
An initial language assessment and learner profile
