Daniel Adamiec

Assistant Headteacher

My journey at Star Mirdif has been an enriching one, spanning seven years, with the promise of an exciting eighth year ahead. It has been a privilege to be part of the journey that this school has been on. When I initially joined Star, I was appointed as the Head of Physical Education. This role allowed me to combine my passion for sports and physical activity with my commitment to fostering a holistic educational experience for students.

During my time as the Head of Physical Education, I worked hard to create an engaging and inclusive curriculum, encouraging students to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle. Witnessing their growth and development, both physically and mentally, was an incredibly fulfilling experience.

Two years ago, I transitioned into a different leadership role within Star, I took on the responsibility of leading the pastoral care department. As the leader of Pastoral, my focus shifted to the emotional and social aspects of student development. I implemented various programs and initiatives aimed at fostering a positive and supportive environment, where students could thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. This role has allowed me to forge deep connections with students, their families, and colleagues alike, contributing to a vibrant and nurturing educational community.

Prior to Star, I worked as a Physical Education teacher in Manchester for four years. My educational journey started with a degree in Sports Studies and Physical Education. Building upon this foundation, I pursued a PGCE in Physical Education.

My career in education has been characterised by dedication, a passion for student growth, an in d a commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals. My experiences as the Head of Physical Education and later as the leader of Pastoral at Star Mirdif have deepened my understanding of the diverse needs of students, and I remain committed to supporting their educational and personal journeys. I am excited to embark on another year at Star, where I can continue making a positive impact on the lives of our students and contribute to the thriving educational community we have built together.

In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and watching Manchester United. I am looking forward to becoming a Dad for the first time, my daughter is due in August.
